Hope Center for Children is excited to announce our partnership in Hello Family. Hello Family serves parents and caregivers with children ages 5 and under by helping answer questions about a child’s development, offering support, and connecting parents to resources and services. Hello Family seeks to improve the outcomes for young children and their families in the city of Spartanburg. Through this exciting initiative, local partners hope to improve birth outcomes and early childhood health and development, reduce avoidable emergency room visits, reduce the incidences of child abuse and neglect, and increase school readiness.
Our involvement in Hello Family will be providing parenting support to families by delivering Triple P (Positive Parenting Program). Triple P is an evidenced-based multi-level model that is designed to equip
parents with tools and strategies that enhance the knowledge, skills, and confidence of parents in order to prevent behavioral, emotional, and developmental problems in children and adolescents. While Triple P is a parenting program, it doesn’t tell you how to be a parent. It’s more like a toolbox of ideas. Because all families are different, you choose the strategies you need and the way you want to use them.
HCFC has been delivering Triple P for over ten years, offering all levels in order to meet the individualized needs of parents and caregivers. Levels range from a light touch providing general parenting information to more intense sessions to address more critical needs. We recognize that parenthood is the most important and rewarding job, as well as the most difficult job. We understand that every parent has challenges and every parent needs some support sometimes.
