Pinwheels are the national symbol for Child Abuse Prevention Month expressing playfulness, joy, and happy childhoods. Child Abuse Prevention Month is a time to recognize the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect. In Spartanburg County, there were 401 substantiated cases of abuse and neglect reported in 2024. Although lower than the previous year, this is the second highest in the Upstate and fifth highest in the state.

In the effort to continue reducing the number of cases in our community, Hope Center for Children provides programs and services designed to help parents and caregivers get the support and resources they need. Learn more about our community-based programs: Triple P Positive Parenting Program, Therapy Services, and Family Resource Connection and Preservation Services.

Join us this April to learn more about recognizing and preventing child abuse and neglect. We believe that everyone can play a role in building safe, stable families and environments for children to thrive.
